First H1Ni-related death in Singapore

A 49-year-old man with heart problem had became the first person to die here in Singapore due to the Influenza(H1N1) virus.He was admitted to Changi General Hospital.His family took him to the hospital when his condition worsened after four days of flu-like symptoms.By then his condition was aready critical and he was admitted to the intensive care unit.Apart from emergency and life support treatment,he was also prescribed anti-viral and antibiotic medicines.Hoever,he died at the hospital at 2.30pm.This affects the country by being more alert and not take H1N1 so lightly.Other countries have to be more alert as the H1N1 spreads very fast and more people have a high chance dying.

Racial Harmony Day

During Racial harmony day, our class watch a video on a concert in class due to the H1N1.Of the 4 weddings(Eurasian.Chinese,Indian,Malay),I find the Chinese wedding the most interesting.I like the Chinese wedding as there is a tea ceremony and the Chinese couple have to offer tea to their parents and their parents will give them each a red packet.A Chinese couple with their parents lives next door to me.Sometimes when they go overseas, they will buy some goodies for us and when sometimes when they bake some cakes, they will give us some of it.When we go overseas and there is no ones at home, we can count on my neighbour to water our plants and watch out for our house in case there is a thief.I do not leave the door open to welcome the neighbours.Racial Harmony Day is a day where all races come together and celebrate and not quarreling with each other.

Influenza A H1N1

Influenza A H1N1 is a virus and can be also known as swine flu.The symptoms are the same as the normal type of flu.Influenza A H1N1 can spread at a distance.So far, Influenza A H1N1 have spreaded to Malaysia and japan among Asia.Countries try to prevent Influenza A H1N1 by taking temperature daily or weekly to check whether they have no fever.I think that taking temperature is quite effective.Other preventive measures can be taken by not going to very crowded places.I wash my hands before I eat to prevent the spread of Influenza A H1N1 disease.

Kindness

I think that kindness means being considerate and sharing.It very important for people to be kind as it will bring happiness.People can show kindness by giving way to people, sharing things with people and helping friends when there in need.When my friend Didder, need my help in homework, I will teach him how to do his homework.I will feel very good and happy after doing that act of kindness.I will donate the things that I don't need to the needy and the poor.I can tell them to be kind as they will be rewarded by feeling satisfied and happy.

Oral Test

On Thursday, I had my oral examination and I ate my lunch in school at 12:30pm and went up to the school hall at 12:55p.m for my oral examination.There was an announcement that told us what language we were starting on first and I had to start my Chinese oral first.I waited and waited until it was my turn and I was quite nervous for my oral.They gave me a paper and I have only a few minutes to look through it.After my Chinese oral,I have to wait for my turn for English oral.I waited very long for my turn as I am the last register number in my class.When it was almost my turn, the teachers had a break for around 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes,my it was my friend, Cyril's turn.After his turn,it was my turn and I have to pick up the oral paper on the sit and go through the paper in a few minutes.Soon it was my turn, I had to sit in front of the examiner and talk about the picture.Soon my turn was over and I was glad that the stress was over.

International Friendship Day

This year's theme for International Friendship Day is getting to know ASEAN.I do not know how International Friendship Day came about. ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nation.I know quite much about Asean.My knowledge about Asean is was quite good.I liked the activites organised by the school on International Friendship Day as I learnt more about indonasia as a lady came and gave us a speech.I have friends in ASEAN in other countries as they were once my kindergarden friends but have gone back to their countries.The school should invite some pupils from overseas and study in our classes for a f ew days and we can make friends with each other.

Learning journey to Singapore Museum

We went to the Singapore museum on the 6th of April 2009.We left the school around 1:10p.m and it took about half an hour to reach there.When we got there, there was a lady and she distributed each of us one companion.We entered the Singapore Historical Museum and pressed the numbers on our companion showned on the floor and the companion will tell us about the artifact.After that, we went to explore other museum like Singapore fashion,Singapore's wayang and the food museum.In the food museum,I smelt lemon grass, coconut and so on ......

Healthy Eating

I have to eat more fruits and vegetables in order to stay healthy.Crackers,food with MSG,artificial sweeteners,and so on... ... these are some unhealthy food adults and children like to eat.Is important to eat healthy as as if you eat unhealthily, your health will be poor and that can lead to other diseases. Cancer, fever, indigestion and so on ... ... The benefits of eating fruits and vegetables are that they are rich in vitamins and can help to fight germs in our body and keep us healthy.I like to eat fruits and vegetables as they are good for my health.I support the school's campaign in encouraging pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables because the pupils will benefit from this event.If they eat more fruits and vegetables,they will get a small gift.

Earth Hour

Earth hour is an annual event and it was started off by Australia.Earth hour is held this Saturday on 28 March 2009 at 8:30pm.I think that people are organising this event to prevent global warming as now a days, people tends to pollutes the earth in many different ways.Everyone will be switching off their lights at home to participate in this annual event.I will celebrate this event with my cousins as my cousin birthday was originally on April fool's day but we decided to bring forward her birthday as it was a Saturday as there will be no school the next day.Earth is now facing global warming and that can cause the temperature to rise and causing the north pole to melt and we would not want that to happen.I think that people should not use too much electricity as we need to burn fuels to generate electricity but that will pollute the air.

Passion For Learning

I think passion for learning is like when your teacher teaches you something and you want to find out more about what your teacher teaches you and you go to the Internet to find out more about it.I think that people should have passion for learning as if you have passion for learning, your knowledge will be greater than others and you will win other people in your studies. I know that my cousin Xiwen have passion for learning as when she come home from school, she will bathe and then she will on her computer and start to blog on what she do today or go to the Internet to find out more knowledge on what she have learnt today.My cousin is now in secondary 3 and she have many good grades for her tests, that is why i think she has passion for learning.I think i have passion for learning as when i learn something I would want to find out more about what I learn.I think we can develop passion for learning by making it a habit to check the Internet and learn something that the teacher have not taught you yet.

What I Want To Defend

I want to defend Singapore as Singapore is my home land and there is no place better than home.Singapore also have strong defence and many people from other countries come to Singapore as it is safe.Besides the strong defence, Singapore is also strong in its education and many people from all over the world come to Singapore to study.Singapore is multi-racial and there are many races living together in harmony and I find it very interesting as there is a story about how different races live together and not fight.

Start School Later

I hope we can start school later so we can have more time to sleep.Everyday I wake up, I have to wake up 15 minutes early so I can rest awile and then I go brush teeth and wash face and it is very tiring to do this very morning.Sometimes when I come home from school, I will go bathe than eat lunch after that I sleep for 2 hours than I go for tution.If school starts later, maybe I will not sleep in the afternoon and will be more energetic and more attentive in class and some people say that if you have more sleep you will be able to absorb information better.And people that sleep longer scored better than people that sleep lesser in the exam.Not enough sleep can affect the growth of the person like growing fat and that can lead to diabetes and diabetes can lead to death.

What I Did During My School Holidays

As usual i play alot of computer during the school holidays.My family was planning to go to Malacca for a holiday as my father wanted to try nonya food because of the show Little Nonya.The day before we go, my dad went to play soccer and when he was going to leave the place after the game, my uncle which is my father's brother who played soccer together with hm suddenly had and heart attack and some of the soccer players called the ambulance.When i got home from tuition, i found out that my beloved uncle had passed away.We were all very sad and of course the trip to Malacca was canceled.I helped out at the funeral and went home at 11pm for 3 days straight.

After a few weeks later, my parents wanted to bring my cousins along with me to the fish farm and there was two dogs over there and they like to lick me, one of the dogs was naughty he fought with another dog,all my cousins were very scared.There were alot of mussels and corals, we also went fishing and we caught many fish, but we took very long to catch many fish and after we caught the fight, the uncle over there cooked the fish that we caught, it was very tasty and all the hard work had paid off.The uncle over there also cooked some mussels for us.

Olympic

The Olympic opening ceremony was so cool and the Bird's Nest was so huge and many people was at the show.The fireworks was amazing,all around the Beijing can see the firworks and it was amazing.I was sad because Singapore did not won the gold medal for table tennis,but they still give in their best and we came in second with silver medals.It was a long time till we won a silver medal and we were proud of our achievement!!!!!!!

Racial Harmony Day

On Monday,our school celebrate Racial Harmony Day.There was a show on Racial Harmony Day
Our recess was 1 hour!!!!! I bought a ice ball and I enjoyed it.The traditional games were fun I enjoyed the games over there.The food was good and I liked the dragon beard.

I WISH THE SCHOOL WILL HAVE MORE OF THIS!!!!!

National Day Parade 2008 (NDP)

Last week I went to the NDP and I enjoyed myself at the Marina Bay!!!! I loved the performance at the NDP parade and I love the fire works it was amazing.The fireworks was very colourful and full of sparkles.I also like the Black Knight or it is also called the F16,the performance of the Black Knights was amazing.My friend was sitting beside me and he use his handphone to video tape it but unfortunately his handphone battery was flat.There were alot of soldiers outside the Marina Bay.We all must have a sticker to paste on top of our pocket or we cannot enter to watch the NDP.

I REALY ENJOYED MYSELF AT THE NDP PARADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food Sold In Our School Canteen

Every day during recess I will go to the school canteen to buy my food.I like to eat in the school canteen because the food is quite nice and I like it.Sometimes ! will miss my school food as they taste great! My favourite stall is stall number two and four.In stall number two,I usually buy cereal and in store number four,I usually buy snacks and some other things like egg tart.I think the food and drinks served in the canteen are healthy because they do not have flies or anything on the food.the healthier food sold by the stall holders are noodles,bread,fried rice,and so on.............I think that the school should add in food,drinks and food,like,grapes,carrot juice and so on.............I think we should keep the canteen clean so that we can make our canteen a more conducive place for pupils and teachers.

Friendship

I think friendship is very important as if you have only one friend you will be very lonely and if you have alot of friends you will be very happy and can share alot of things with them.It is important to have friends as they can cheer you up when you are sad or they can share with you things that they have.I can develop friendship with my friend by sharing things with them and helping them when there are trouble.I think that singaporeans should be friendly so that people would come here for holiday and we would earn money.I enjoy the activities during international friendship day.I liked the judo and the wushu because they are amazing.I think there should be more wushu acts as there are very cool.

My Dream

I think racial harmon y is a occasion that different races from all over the world becomes friends.Misunderstanding between differentt races can cause riots all over the places and the world will be a unsafe place to live in.I think Rajah's solution was that all the people in the world have feelings and people from other races are the same too.We can work together and not fight with each other cause we are from diffferent race.We must be friends to make the world a safer place to live in.I think our school could make all the people from different races to showus what are their culture.

yo!so long never write.Chinese New Year coming I am so happy my school will dismiss at 9:30a.m. on Wednessday and I i will get alot of hongbaos.I am maybe going to buy a PSP if my mum allows me to have one.And still Audition rox!!!So I am thinking to buy a audition PSP game.I am now level 11 in audition freedom.Xi deng and I must go to tution for 4 hours.It is so tiring,and after that we must go for swimming lessons.When we finish we will sometimes meet in audition,and today I am so happy i have a gold timezone card.And there is 100 dollars in it,6000 E tickets.I am so happy!!!!Maplestory rox too,i have 10000000messos and alot cool equipment.I have a level 65 cleric,level 48 icelightning wizard and a lv 31 spear man. Maple is so cool,so bye bye i got to play audition.Oh and I forgot to tell you that I have a audition card Hurray, Hurray,Hurray.This blog rox!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I went to school but did'nt enjoy it because I cannot attend P.E..
But I was worried at 9:30am !! I have to leave school to go for my piano exam!!!
The most happy thing I enjoy is I will not go back to school after 9:30am!!
When I reached Ang Mo Kio Hub the nightmare began but when I finished it, I find that time passes so fast. This evening when I went jogging with my dad, my skate scooter cut me and I was not able to walk properly then. It happened when I came to a slope, I fell and injured myself. I was so unlucky!!

I am going to Xi Deng's house tommorow

Tommorow i will be happy because i am going to Xi Deng's house.

In the morning, i will go swimming with my cousin Xi Deng and my parents!!

I cannot wait till tommorow!

i think it will be fun because i never swim for three week.

I have been skipping my swimming clases because i wanted to wait for Xi Deng to come back.

Maybe i can also play at the playground beside the swimming pool.

but too bad for my cousin Xi Wen and Xi Han,because Xi Wen have tution and Xi Han have to go to the child care.

I hope it will not rain,if it rains we cannot go to swim or play at the play ground.

After that,I will have to go to my tution kumon at 3:00pm.

I wish i have no tution because i want to spend more time with my cousin Xi Deng because I never see him in the pass few weeks.

My cousins Xi Deng , Xi Han and Xi Wen went to Australia and he is coming back on 18 June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait for them to come back to Singapore.

I guess they miss my grandmother's cooking and dumplings.But we still can talk in msn.

After Xi Deng comes back he will celebrate his birthday at the pool on 23 june!!!!!!!!

And my grandmother's birthday is coming soon,it is on 19 June!!!!!

I like June because my grandmother and my cousin Xi Deng will have their birthday!!
